The clearest connection between the two celebrities is their association with characters from the DC Comics universe.
Delevingne played Enchantress in Suicide Squad, while Hackman portrayed Lex Luthor in the classic Superman films. These roles connect both actors to DC adaptations, but they do not establish a shared film or storyline.
Cara Delevingne as Enchantress
In Suicide Squad (2016), Delevingne portrayed Dr. June Moone, an archaeologist who becomes possessed by an ancient supernatural entity known as Enchantress.
The character brings a supernatural element to the movie. Her powers and the threat she creates become central to the film’s conflict.
Delevingne’s performance required her to portray both the human side of June Moone and the dangerous personality of Enchantress. The role was a major part of her transition into large scale action films. The movie also featured a cast that included Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Jared Leto, and Viola Davis.
Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor
Hackman portrayed Lex Luthor in Superman (1978), Superman II (1980), and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987). Lex Luthor is one of Superman’s most recognizable enemies. Hackman brought humor, confidence, and theatrical energy to the character. His version of Luthor became an important part of the early live action Superman films.
The role also showed his ability to move between serious dramatic performances and lighter, more exaggerated characters.
